Plant Medicine – What Happens

Where do we go when we Journey?

The Shipibo being one of the fifty-two various tribal entities in the Peruvian rainforest have a very specific viewpoint on journeys within the realms of the medicine. 

There are 3 primary worlds in this tradition.  Think of it like this, it is organized like a big tree.  Our world is the largest branch in the middle.  Above it is the canopy which represents the Upper worlds.  Below are the Lower Worlds, which are represented by the roots:

• Our World and the Mid-World
  • Ordinary Reality overlapped by the spiritual world
  • Offshoot worlds:
    • Armarillo – Portals and Doorways
    • Neblina – Mist
    •  

• Upper World
  • Beings of power, oriented more closely with the lightOffshoot worlds

• Lower World
  • The World of Water and the Anaconda
  • Anaconda is another form of the spirit of the medicine
  • Animal spirits
  • Plant spirits
  • Elementals

    • Sanken Nete: The world of sacred geometry
